One of our passions is seeing children learn stringed instruments while they are young. The benefits to the child’s development and personality and even their character are immense and long-lasting. We love to see children’s eyes light up as they come to the store to pick out their very own instruments. Parents love the fact that THREE years’ worth of rental is applied to the purchase price.

Advanced instruments are available for rent at our store!

While my background is in repairing concert-quality instruments and even building instruments by hand—I still love to set up instruments for children. Something I’ve found which helps children with their instruments is preparing the tuning pegs. The process takes about 5 to 10 minutes but results in tuning pegs that turn easier yet have better holding strength. Not all violin shops take the time to help children succeed in this way.
